Akkuun siirtynyt energia on määrä, joka todella päätyy akkuun: noin 5 % häviää matkalla lämpönä ja muunnoksissa, ja latausajat lasketaan tämän pienemmän energiamäärän perusteella. Kun energia jaetaan ajalla, tulos on siksi noin 5 % pienempi kuin latausaseman antotehon sarakkeessa.
