Cell-to-Pack (CTP)

Cell-to-pack (CTP) is a battery-pack architecture in which cells are integrated directly into the pack structure without first being assembled into conventional intermediate modules.

Why it matters

Removing or reducing module-level parts can free more of the pack volume for active cell material and reduce the number of structural components. The result can be better packaging efficiency and a simpler pack layout. The practical outcome still depends on the cell format, cooling system, crash structure, manufacturing method, and service strategy.

CTP describes how cells are packaged, not their chemistry. An LFP or NMC cell can be used in different pack architectures, and the term alone does not establish range, charging speed, safety, or repairability.
